The Philadelphia Liberty did just enough to sneak past the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-3, at Liberty Park. Philadelphia pitcher Al Ivey, in particular, had a standout performance. Jorge Montoya picked up the save for Philadelphia, his 12th of the year. At 47-37, the Liberty claim second place in the Silver League.

Ni Xú had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Liberty. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Philadelphia trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Xú said.
