Greenville starter Santiago Proximo kept the Las Vegas offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his fastball in leading the 84s to a 6-1 win. Proximo yielded 1 run over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 5, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-5. Miguel Velázquez picked up the save, his 1st.

Greenville got a big at-bat from Anna's Retreat, Virgin Islands native Kane Felton, who in the bottom of the second hit a run-scoring double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the 84s ahead, 3-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Felton said after the game.

The 9th-place 84s improved to 40-45.
