Mexico City parlayed a decent outing from starter Tom Johnston into a solid win over the Montana Pandas. The final score was 3-2. Mexico City reliever Norman Davis picked up the win to move to 2-0. Pablo Moreno suffered the loss. The loss makes Montana 43-42.

Rob Banks drove in one run for Mexico City. The 28-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Pablo Moreno. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Mexico City manager JJ Hoban.
