Lakers Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Grey Wolves
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at LA Forum.

The Vancouver Grey Wolves overcame a big game from Echo Park third baseman Orlando Gonzáles to pick up a win at LA Forum. The final score was 7-6, Vancouver, in 11 innings. Gonzáles was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brad Carter, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings.

Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Steve Harris to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 7-6. For the game, Harris had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Harris, "and then get after it again."

The Lakers, now 45-40, have lost 5 straight.
