The Long Island Lighthouse defeated the Las Vegas Flamingos, 8-5, at The Strip. Long Island catcher Cody Hanson had a superb performance. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Long Island reliever Clancy Turner picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Kun Ec absorbed the loss. The Lighthouse, at 49-37, lead by one game in their division.

Soo-keun Yi came through with a big-time hit for Long Island. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Hanson told the Long Island Observer, "and we played pretty well tonight."
