Colorado Nets 4-3 Win Versus Shredders
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Colorado Billy Goats and Hollywood Shredders.
The Colorado Billy Goats picked up a win at Grazing Hills, knocking off the Hollywood Shredders, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Colorado was right-hander Juan Cruz. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Colorado reliever Todd Turner was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Shi-min Sun.
The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the 11th when Manuel Gómez hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Shi-min Sun to win the game for Colorado. The home crowd went wild.
"The ending was a real humdinger," Cruz told reporters after the game.
With the loss, Hollywood drops to 6-14.
