Pandas Defeat Mockingbirds, 3-2

The Montana Pandas earned a close win over the Memphis Mockingbirds, thanks in part to Uhi Ahipene. The Montana left-hander played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. Pablo Gonzáles snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-6 on the season. David Thornton suffered the loss. Montana, with the win, climbs to 25-62.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Jonathan Day came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Memphis pitcher Mike McCauley, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Montana on top, 3-2.
"Our team found a way to get it done," said Ahipene.
