Kent Hits 2 home runs in Lakers Win
|
Echo Park shortstop Palmer Kent contributed significantly to his team's 9-6 win over the Panama City Piranhas. Kent, who leads the SL in stolen bases with 40, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Lakers. Brendan Fulton earned the save, his 25th. The win makes Echo Park 49-39.
Étienne Duchesne hit a run-scoring double off Chris Williams in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Lakers in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Duchesne had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Duchesne.
