Dirty Reds Pick Up 3-2 Win
|
The Dayton Dirty Reds beat the Baltimore Bullets, 3-2, at Baltimore Grounds. The win was due in part to right fielder George McLean, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Peter O'Farrell closed the door for Dayton, picking up his 21st save of the year. Dayton, with the win, climbs to 30-59.
In the top of the third of a scoreless game, McLean hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Dayton manager David Dodds.
