The Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the Long Island Lighthouse, 5-3, in 12 innings. Ft. Worth left fielder Jeremy Brooks, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ft. Worth reliever Joe Jenkins was the winner. His record is now 4-5. Bob Flannery took the loss. The Cattlemen raised their record to 44-46.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Brooks hit a slider from Bob Flannery for a 2-run home run. The Cattlemen, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was juiced," said Brooks.
