The Dayton Dirty Reds got a superb performance from pitcher Yin-reng Fong, but the Kingston Township Knights still won the game, 1-0. Fong threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Ki-seop Ch'oe earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. George Atwater notched his 28th save in 33 chances.

Kingston Township took a 1-0 lead on Steve Miller's 21st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Dayton pitcher Yin-reng Fong in the bottom of the eighth.

Miller called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

With the win, Kingston Township pushed its record to 54-37.
