Blue Demons Sunk by Liberty

Milan Komljenovic was locked in. The right-hander led the Philadelphia Liberty to a 6-1 win against the Mexico City Blue Demons at Liberty Park. Komljenovic, now 6-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. With the victory, the Liberty record stands at 52-39.
Philadelphia took a 6-1 lead on Jesse Everhart's 2nd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Everhart hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Mexico City pitcher Steven Boon visibly frustrated.
"Milan is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Philadelphia manager Geoff Matt.
