Echo Park Defeated By Pandas, 7-2
|
Brian Folger, who is tied for 7th in the SL in quality starts with 12, had a strong outing for the Montana Pandas against the Echo Park Lakers at Panda Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-2 win. Folger got the win, improving to 9-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Montana raised its record to 48-43 with the win.
The Pandas got a big at-bat from first baseman Louis Bletsoe. For the game, Bletsoe was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Montana a 3-1 lead.
"Brian -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Pandas manager Andrew Schupick. "He was the key to us winning."
