The Toledo Stingers spoiled a good performance by Vancouver catcher Michael Forrest, bumping off Vancouver, 8-4, at Pacesetter Park. Forrest was 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Víctor Rivera was the winner. He's now 5-3. The loser was three-time Outstanding Pitcher Award winner Pat Butler. Toledo goes to 54-38. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.
In the bottom of the second, Toledo shortstop John Myers Myers had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Myers Myers stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 2-0, Toledo. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
