Time to Go: Lau to Retire in Memphis Friday, May 19th , 2062 Ai-de Lau said he's proud of what he's accomplished in professional baseball and he's now comfortable walking away from the sport. The Memphis Mockingbirds left fielder announced today that this season will be his last. "It's Freedom 37," he joked with reporters. "I'm happy to get out now and am looking forward to enjoying retirement." Lau boasts a career batting average of .253 with 538 hits, 135 homers and 368 RBIs. |
