Lumsden Laces 3 HR Against Pittsburgh Saturday, June 15th , 2052 Today was a special one for Les Lumsden of the Athletic Club KC as he slammed three home runs in the 12-5 win over the Pittsburgh Kingfishers. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Athletic Club KC right fielder collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 4 runs in the contest at Pittsburgh Grounds. Les Lumsden hit a solo-shot off Ángel Santingo in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ángel Santingo in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Renault Daddi in the 8th.
