Hit Streak Over, Battery Stop Kyong Thursday, July 28th, 2044 The Charleston Battery clamped down on Seung-jae Kyong and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 24 straight games, but it didn't keep the Rocketeers from winning. Seattle downed the Battery 7-0. "It was bound to happen," Kyong said with a shrug after the game. This season Kyong is hitting .300 with 71 hits, 8 home runs, 30 RBIs, scored 29 runs and played in 66 games. |
