Coeur Hurler Named PL's Best Starter Monday, September 1st, 2042 It was a very good month for Eric Matson in August. The 39-year-old veteran starter for the St. Louis Coeur outpitched everybody -- young and old -- to claim the United States Premier League Pitcher of the Month award earlier today. Matson ran up a 4-1 record in his 6 starts during the month. In 40 innings he fanned 39 and recorded a 1.57 ERA. So far this year Matson has a 13-5 record with a 2.62 ERA. |
