30-Game Hitting Streak for Bortenschlager Saturday, September 1st, 2040 Max Bortenschlager, second baseman for the Buffalo White Walkers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-6 victory today over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Beyond the Wall today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Max Bortenschlager grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
