PL's #1 Player, Rivera of Seattle Monday, June 14th , 2060 26-year-old Juan Rivera sent shock waves through United States Premier League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the United States Premier League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Rivera made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .562 average, 9 hits in 16 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBI. Where the Seattle Rocketeers catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Rivera certainly made his mark last week. This year, Rivera is hitting .256, produced 13 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 11 times and gotten on base at a .379 rate. |
