Gloves Found, Parthiban Rejoices Monday, July 9th , 2057 A while back we brought you the story of the poor Vancouver Grey Wolves's first baseman who was honestly devastated by the loss of his lucky college batting gloves. Today, the gloves suddenly turned up in the strangest of places. Said teammate, Alberto Montés, "I found them in my underwear drawer...seriously. As soon as I found them, I got them back to Vasan. I didn't even ask for a finder's fee and besides, I couldn't wait to get rid of them - they really stank." No details on how the gloves got in Montés's underwear drawer and perhaps that is for the best. For his part, Vasan Parthiban was ecstatic. Telling the Vancouver News, "I put them on right away - it felt so good to have them back. I can't wait to get back out there and face pitching again with these on." |
