Northern Virginia Sends Tañón to Charleston Wednesday, August 1st , 2063 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Rainbow Mermaids announced today the acquisition of nothing from the Charleston Battery in exchange for 30-year old 2B Luis Tañón. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Rainbow Mermaids, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This season, Tañón has posted a batting average of .189 with 14 hits in 74 at-bats, 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has also scored 11 runs, walked 8 times and compiled a .286 OBP. |
