August's Top Rookie Named by PL Saturday, September 1st , 2063 Youngster Joe Johnston emerged as the latest United States Premier League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Seattle deserved the honor, batting .386 with 5 home runs and 17 runs batted in. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Johnston enjoy the limelight. Thus far this season in 73 games, Johnston is batting .337 with 10 home runs, 44 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 297 at-bats. |
