Those were the comments heard after the St. Louis Coeur came to an agreement to deal 36-year-old 3B Guillermo Coss, 19-year-old minor league RF Freek Derksen, 18-year-old minor league LHP Perry Cox, 30-year-old minor league RHP Esteban Rodríguez and 23-year-old RHP Shem Burkholder to the Long Island Lighthouse for 29-year-old RHP Valentin Calhamar earlier today. The deal is expected to be formally announced later this evening. For his career Rodríguez has picked up 3 wins and 4 losses with no saves, a 6.71 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 60.1 innings. During his career Calhamar has compiled a 28-21 record with a 3.68 ERA in 56 starts. |
