Zachary Bombs 3 HR Against Buffalo
Friday, September 1st , 2056
Thomas Zachary went on an explosive hitting spree against the Buffalo White Walkers at Beyond the Wall today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the St. Louis Coeur to the 7-4 win.
The first baseman finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI.
"It was just one of those days," Zachary said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."
Buffalo skipper Chris Lau said Zachary was "locked-in."
"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."
Thomas Zachary hit a solo-shot off Wing-fung Quan in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Wing-fung Quan in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off José Ramírez in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
In the current season, Zachary has put up a .218 batting average with 50 hits, 16 home runs, 43 RBI and scored 33 runs.
