Rainbow Mermaids Send Taaij to Memphis Sunday, January 1st , 2062 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Rainbow Mermaids announced today the acquisition of $3 in cash from the Memphis Mockingbirds in exchange for 36-year old RHP Noud Taaij. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Rainbow Mermaids, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Northern Virginia will retain a portion of Taaij's remaining contract. Over his career the 36-year-old Taaij has won 82 and lost 53, collecting 1163 strikeouts and 431 walks in 1150 innings with a 3.02 ERA. Opponents have hit .211 against him. |
