PL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Thursday, November 3rd , 2061 Juan Carlos Mejía said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids rising star has won the United States Premier League Reliever of the Year Award for 2061. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.59 ERA over 45.1 innings. He also had 19 saves in 39 relief appearances, 50 strikeouts and only 6 walks. Sam Myers of the Toledo Stingers finished second in voting, while Stanley Thompson of the Mexico City Blue Demons finished third. |
