Trade: Mora for Taaij Sunday, May 1st , 2061 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Rainbow Mermaids announced today the acquisition of 35-year old RHP Noud Taaij from the Las Vegas Flamingos in exchange for 20-year old minor league C Victorino Ganchas, 22-year old minor league LHP Júlio Mora, and 25-year old RHP Nelson Bennett. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Rainbow Mermaids, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Taaij has crafted a 75-47 won-lost record in his career with a 2.85 ERA. |
