Lee Sharp in 5-0 Shutout
Tuesday, May 29th , 2057
Jim Lee bent a little, but he didn't break against the Huntington Hermit Crabs. The Laredo Hawks pitcher hurled a 1-hit, 5-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 5 strikeouts.
"Jim is good at getting out of jams," Hawks manager Troy Grant told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
Lee has made 5 starts, tossed 36 innings, struck out 26 batters and walked 11. His record is 1-4 with a 3.50 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .221 batting average.
