3-HR Dream Game for Alvarado
Sunday, June 17th , 2063
Whatever Alberto Alvarado ate for breakfast before his game against the Matlacha Manatees, it gave him some impressive power.
The Alameda catcher smacked three balls up and out of the park at Fuller Park. His home run barrage helped the Airmen defeat the Manatees, 5-1.
"When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all."
On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-5, scored 3 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember.
Alberto Alvarado hit a two-run home run off Bob Newsome in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Iván Sáenz in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Ed Brown in the 9th.
So far on the season, Alvarado is hitting .320 with 13 home runs, 24 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 39 hits and played in 31 games.
