Season Over for Troy Walker in Mancelona
Monday, July 11th , 2061
The doctors have spoken and Troy Walker of the Mancelona Torch didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Walker sustained his season-ending injury during the Rocky Mountain Vibes game yesterday at Torch Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mancelona medical staff reported Walker had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.
In 11 starts this season, Walker has rung up a 4-5 record and a 3.91 ERA.
