Laredo Loses Pedro De La Torre, Will Miss Season Sunday, August 21st , 2061 Pedro De La Torre of the Hawks just might have to call it quits for the season. The 20-year-old Laredo left fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Walla Walla Walleye recently at Walleye Tank. De La Torre suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing the ball. The Hawks medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 9 months. For the year, De La Torre is hitting .224 with no home runs. His stats include 1 RBI and 5 runs scored. |
