Hawks Flores and Yinzers Hudson Suspended for Fight Tuesday, September 4th , 2057 Yesterday at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium Miguel Angel Flores and Joe Hudson got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Laredo Hawks and Monroeville Yinzers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Flores will have to sit out 4 while Hudson would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. So far this season, Flores has recorded a .250 batting average with 3 hits, no home runs, 0 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a .400 OBP. For the season, Hudson is 0-and-3 with no saves and a 9.37 ERA. He has given up 23 hits in 16.1 innings with 11 strikeouts. |
