Players Suspended in Manatees-Chiefs Donnybrook Saturday, August 7th , 2060 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Matlacha-Caldwell contest at Pipers Ballpark. The Manatees R.J. Atkinson and the Chiefs Zhi Ling will have to sit out 4 and 9 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. So far on the season, Atkinson is hitting .270 with 12 home runs, 37 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 76 hits and played in 72 games. To date this year, Ling has compiled a 9-4 mark with a 2.84 ERA in 15 starts. |
