Gallos Vetter Tames Alameda Saturday, September 5th , 2054 It wasn't easy but Frank Vetter made it look that way. Vetter silenced the Alameda Airmen, 10-0, in a Delmarva Gallos triumph at Alameda Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Vetter said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." For the season Vetter has compiled a 7-5 record with a 3.04 ERA. View Boxscore View Game Log |
