Flores Pitches 6-0 Shutout Thursday, May 11th , 2062 The Walla Walla Walleye shut out the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 6-0, behind the strong pitching of Leonardo Flores. Flores surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 8. Following the last out, Flores appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Philadelphia manager Rio Bavin, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Flores's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Liberty U-24 skipper would not comment on the exchange but, at the Walleye press conference, Flores confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.
