Season Ends for Pedro Garza of Eugene Friday, May 20th , 2061 The doctors have spoken and Pedro Garza of the Eugene Vandals didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Garza sustained his season-ending injury during the Cut Off Crawdads game yesterday at Crawdads Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Eugene medical staff reported Garza had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. |
