Wiser Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Wednesday, May 30th , 2063 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Bud Wiser did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Rogues Stadium. For the last 20 games in a row, the 22-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Cut Off Crawdads beat the Newmarket Rogues, 4-1. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Wiser told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Cut Off clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Bud Wiser singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. This season, Wiser is batting .387 with 3 home runs. His totals include 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
