Bush Pilots Kirk Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, June 2nd , 2061 5 times is the charm -- at least for Calvin Kirk. The Alaskan Bush Pilots third baseman tore up the Newmarket Rogues to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Rogues Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Kirk powered the 14-10 Bush Pilots win. "Kirk was a tough out," Newmarket manager Clay Myers said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Calvin Kirk hit a two-run home run off Marc Maxwell in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
