Peters Whitewashes Jets
Saturday, June 24th , 2056
In a seemingly effortless performance, Ronnie Peters of the Levittown Blue Dragons shot down the Kennesaw Jets 4-0 on a 4-hit shutout.
"Ronnie was just locating so well and using his pitches," Levittown manager Sal Haynes said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Peters recorded 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Kennesaw manager John Castle said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
This year Peters has made 9 starts, thrown 60.1 innings, fanned 63 batters and walked 30. His won-lost record is 2-6 with a 3.58 ERA.
