Monday, September 22nd, 2036
Cristián Álvarez said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 23 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Walla Walla Walleye rising star has won the USPL Single A Reliever of the Year Award for 2036.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.26 ERA over 71.2 innings. He also had 10 saves in 35 relief appearances, 87 strikeouts and only 24 walks.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pepe Pereira of the Walla Walla Walleye finished second in voting, while Mark Jacobson of the Provo Mango finished third.
