Bouwman Gone for Season in South Beach Saturday, July 28th , 2063 The doctors have spoken and Stan Bouwman of the South Beach Blaze didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bouwman sustained his season-ending injury during the Monroeville Yinzers game yesterday at The Ballpark on the Beach. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the South Beach medical staff reported Bouwman had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. For the year, Bouwman has compiled a 1-1 record with a 3.66 ERA. |
