August's Best Starter Named in PA Saturday, September 1st , 2063 When Ben Watkins takes the hill, there's a good chance for a Eugene victory. At least that's the way it was in May. He excelled with a 5-0 mark and a 1.96 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 36.2 innings, fanned 31, and held enemy hitters to a .180 average. That's why the Vandals star was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the USPL Single A. So far this year, Watkins has 14 wins and 4 losses and a 2.65 ERA. |
