2054 #1 Player Chosen By PA Friday, September 25th , 2054 The future looks extremely bright for Javier Meléndez. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in USPL Single A. Meléndez has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award. "I didn't expect to hit .318 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said. The Grim Reapers star also put up a .399 on-base percentage this year, with 81 hits, 17 doubles, no triples, 11 home runs, 50 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10.
