League Suspends Tula Fuller 2 Games Monday, August 19th , 2058 Shortly after yesterday's Tula-Crawdads game ended, Les Fuller's on-field tantrum seemed almost comical. In response to being ejected for questioning a called third strike, the Chicago shortstop tossed his hat to the dirt and kicked it repeatedly. He couldn't help but laugh at himself and his over-the-top, hat-kicking, anger-laced tirade. "It was funny," Fuller said. "I was hoping I could kick it all the way to the dugout." The umpiring crew, however, didn't find it funny and neither did the league. Though Fuller said he did not think his actions warranted a suspension, he will miss 2 games. For the season, Fuller has produced 33 hits in 206 at-bats for a .160 average with 3 home runs and gotten on base at a .206 clip. |
