Blaze Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, September 5th , 2062 Heartbreaking. Agonizing. Devastating. They were all words being used by the South Beach Blaze after today being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. "It stings to come this close but come up short," said manager Gerald Merendino. The Blaze had a streak of 5 straight playoff appearances before this year. In the 41 years they have been a USPL Single A franchise, they have missed the playoffs 14 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Blaze have made the playoffs 10 times. South Beach last won the PL A Championship in 2060. |
