Thursday, September 23rd , 2060
He may have less experience than most of his USPL Single A peers, but that didn't slow Carlos Ríos down at all in 2060.
At the age of 20, the Chicago second baseman has been named the winner of the USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .289 batting average and a .401 on-base percentage this year. In 95 games he piled up 100 hits, 13 doubles, 4 triples, 16 home runs, 42 RBIs and 54 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Damian García of the Grim Reapers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Gerald Hartnell of the Alaskan Bush Pilots finished third.
