Northern Virginia Trades Dempsey for Boston's Smith Thursday, July 3rd, 2036 The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids have finalized a deal with the Boston Patriots for the services of 21-year-old 1B Adam Smith. In exchange, the Patriots will receive 36-year-old RHP John Dempsey and $7,817,821 in cash. So far this season, Dempsey has a 2-4 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 10 relief appearances, logged 41.1 innings and fanned 44 batters while fashioning a 7.19 ERA and allowing the opposition a .286 batting average. |
