Year Ends for Júlio Valenzuela in Greenville Monday, July 14th, 2036 Júlio Valenzuela will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Greenville starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Valenzuela was injured while throwing a pitch in the 84s-Rainbow Mermaids clash at 84s Field recently. Doctors said he has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 8 months. This year Valenzuela has a 4-0 mark in 10 starts with a 2.84 ERA. He has given up 41 hits in 50.2 innings, struck out 43 and issued 13 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .218 batting average against him. |
