Charleston-St. Louis Trade: Alfonso for Urrutiz Friday, July 23rd, 2038 Officials for Charleston confirmed that they have traded 28-year-old RHP Tony Alfonso and $6,400,000 in cash to the St. Louis Coeur. In return, the Battery will receive 18-year-old minor league CF Jaime Espinar, 19-year-old minor league RF Rafael Urrutiz and $2 in cash. Charleston will retain a portion of Alfonso's remaining contract. This season Alfonso has gone 10-2 with an ERA of 2.31, posting 88 strikeouts in 89.2 innings. |
