Cornu Chosen #1 Player Monday, August 4th, 2036 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the United States Silver League, but last week Sébastien Cornu of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Cornu rocked opposing pitching for a .550 average (11-for-20), 4 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Thus far this year Cornu has hit .267 with 20 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
